Resource Management and Development Consultant known as REMDEC is a professional consulting firm specializing in the capacity building for Civil Society Organizations (CSO) and other development actors. It was established by a group of activists who had long experiences in managing civil social works in variuos fields from human rights, gender, public health, strategic planning and organizational development, popular education, behavioural change communication, agriculture, fishery, micro economics as well as labour.

As individuals, Remdec’s consultants have been long recognized as the experts in their own respectibe fields. However, the reforms in Indonesia since 1998 rang the alarm of duty call for synergy that enables these individual’s rich experiences and knowledge exchanged and strategically utilized for building the capacity of the CSO and other development actors.

As the country decentralized, REMDEC supposes it is a mandatory for strong networking with other allies throughout Indonesia. The key hubs are in Jambi, Yogyakarta, Nusa Tenggara and Bali, Maluku, Central Kalimantan and East Kalimantan.

REMDEC is striving to build and create social condition that structurally democratic to promote equity and social-gender justice, maintain environmentally friendly, protecs and uphold human rigths, so that the marginal group in the society have enough strength, space, economic resources, political and cultural to establishes common identify and goals.

MISSION

  • To empower capacity of civil society organizations (CSO) and other development actors to strive social transformations

  • To encourage the growth of facititators assosiation in some strategic areas, in which they are helping to improve the civil society’s capacity and other development actors within the region

  • To promote new initiatives, approaches and methods, in the area of capacity building efforts and spatial development
